I like your categories. It makes it easy to find new blogs I might be interested in. And I love being categorized as literature! I got a big smile when I saw that. Thanks!! :-)

What a terrific list and resources Shelly. Thanks so much for including my blog in your list. (Few new sites for me to visit) Thanks again

Cara Powers said...

Hey, thanks for including me. You definitely have me in the right spot (although I'm aiming for master reviewer-goals are good).

Libby's Library said...

Woot - I got listed in 2 catagories..I'm honored.
Thank you:-)

Unknown said...

Lezlie -
You are about as "literature" as they come.
I guess I could make a heading called esoteric literature but then they probably would not be in my readers list. lol.
Great to hear from you. :)

Unknown said...

Diane -
You are so welcome!

Cara -
You are pretty darn close to that designation for being a new blogger.

Nea -
You have two blogs one funny/family stuff the other books so you get on two lists. :)

Thanks to all for being readers!

Crystal said...

Thanks for the plug!! Sweet, I'm noteworthy!!

Thanks for for listing me! *runs to own blogroll and checks for Shellie* Phew, you're there!

Man, creating that link and attaching the links must have taken you forever. Thanks for the dedication! And thanks for the mention...

Hi Shellie :D
Thanks for including me in your list! Your blog is just getting more and more fantastic by the day! Excellent job you are doing over here! I love it!

Krista said...

This is very cool! I must go check out some of these new to me blogs :)

Natasha @ Maw Books said...

Wow. Did you just call me a master book blogger? The pressure is on! Thanks for a great list!

Unknown said...

Crystal -
Of course you are :)

David -
All I did was take the blog roll that I had at the side of the blog and copy and paste it. All the links appeared. Amazing huh?

It was a lot of work when the blog roll disappeared when I changed my url though.

Kelly -
You are home. I hope you had a great vacation!

Krista -
Yes my google reader is exploding. Isn't it wonderful?
But sadly, I have to cut back. I cannot keep up. That's why I have decided that all Layers of Thought's readers get read first. :)

Natasha -
And where was I supposed to put you? According to me you are a Master blogger. :)

Unknown said...

Rhiannon -
You are so funny. You almost got lost in the comments....

Just because I list you doesn't mean you have to list me. Thanks though.

logankstewart said...

Shellie, I like it. This looks great, and gives your blog more screen-space. Once again, thanks for the mention and for the other blogs to check out.

Unknown said...

Logan -
Thanks, a bunch. You are welcome.

Now to get all the awards that I have been neglecting, together and put them somewhere. Not sure where or how yet.

Shellie: Thank you for including me in your blogroll! I like the way you have set it up...great idea.

You are welcome. Thanks!

Aarti said...

Thanks for including me, Shellie! I don't know if I think my blog is urban fantasy and paranormal, really, but I don't know where else it would go, really :-) I do quite a few fantasy reviews, it's true! Either way, I'm happy to make the list. Thanks!

Unknown said...

Aarti -
You are welcome -
I tried to put you where it seems like you do the most reviews.
I thought Spec Fiction was what you did the most of.... I will be adding more categories as things change. I would like to have a multicultural/feminist category but for brevity sake - I'm thinking one step at a time. :)
I could put you into eclectic?

Krista said...

Humm, I'm not on there but I know I'm a reader of your thoughts... :) LOL!

Krista said...

Oh, whoops, cancel that! I'm there LOL! So many blogs... LOL!

Lori said...

Hello to you,

thank you for adding me to your list, I am honored. Quick question for you...How do you have books to give away? Where do you get them from?
lori@whenwelisten.com is me if you wouldn't mind sharing with me?
Love your blog, beautiful!

Lori

You will have to forgive me I had my blog roll all finished and I know you were on it but when the change of url happened I lost the whole darn thing.

I know that some of my favorite bloggers got lost in the transition....I am adding you right now under Speculative Fiction....kk :)

Unknown said...

Krista -
Your there under speculative fiction number five alphabetical. I guess you missed it. :)

Unknown said...

Lori -
Thanks - email on its way!

Krista said...

Sorry, I did miss it, Shellie, you just have too many awesome followers LOL! :)

Unknown said...

Krista -
I was so surprised when you said that you weren't on the list.... whew!

I think they're pretty great too!

Donna said...

I'm awed that you listed me under master book blogger... *blushing* ...Thank you so much! This made my day. :)

I need to check out the others on your list.

Unknown said...

Donna -
Your blog is very professional, easy to access what your looking for.
It looks great.....your posts are always informative. And its got a wild twist. Fun Stuff! :) You deserve it!

Great list - I like the categories idea. Many of these are familiar. Will have to take a peek at the ones that aren't.

An ever expanding list. Thanks for stopping by and commenting :)

Hi Shellie - I'm just about to do the same thing on my blog - categorizing make sit much easier for the reader.

Please feel free to visit (and if you like), to add my blog in your non-book blogs...

All the best, your newest follower

Suzi -
I have added Whimpulsive to speculative fiction. :)

Holli -
Wonderful blog. Welcome! I have added you to the list. :)

SuziQoregon said...

Shellie: thanks, but I think it probably fits better under Eclectic than it does under Speculative Fiction.

ShadowsTomes said...

Woot! I'm on the list! :)

Melissa -
Of course you are!

Did you see that I mentioned you in a bits and bobs post too and your reviewing of English on sites?

http://www.layersofthought.net/2009/10/bits-and-bobs-from-around-blogosphere.html

Take Care.

SuziQoregon said...

Shellie: thanks so much for the link, but I think I might be a better fit for the Eclectic category than Speculative Fiction. Lately I've been on a YA Dystopian binge, but Fantasy is pretty much a genre I avoid.

Unknown said...

Suzi -
Its done.

It was on my list for tomorrow.... had to take a break from the computer. :)

Anna said...

Thanks for listing me. I'm surprised to see myself under the writers/authors list, but I guess that's motivation to finish the novel I've been working on for ages. :)

Anna -
Oops - I am not sure how you got into that list. Goes to show that I am fallible. :)

I will move you into the general spot until you get your book to the point where we can include you in the writer's list. Or when you create a new blog for your writing.

Also I would like to include War through the Generations here too. Are you extending it? I got the impression that it was ending.

Take Care and let me know so I can fix both at once.
Thanks -

Anna said...

You can add War Through the Generations if you'd like. We're going to host a reading challenge every year focusing on a different war. We'll be switching from WWII to Vietnam next year, so the blog will remain open.

And no worries about putting me in the wrong spot!

Great - that's why I posted this link up because I know that I am going to not do everything perfectly.

I am so happy to hear that the you will still continue the challenge. I will get that up here too. Its very important stuff!

I hope you will post a list of books to read around the Vietnam War for those of us who are unfamiliar with any books about it - particularly novels. *hint* :)
Thanks Anna.

Anna said...

We'll definitely be posting a reading list for Vietnam, fiction, non-fiction, whatever we find. And we'll be keeping up all the WWII links and will be adding to the reading list as we come across books. That's why it's helpful that there are two of us running the blog! We'd like to have the site eventually be a resource for people interested in war-related books. It's our first year, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows.

Thank you for your interest!

I know I have seen it at various places and have been to the site a few times. I got the impression that it was ending and I knew that you were connected to it.

I would have had it in my reader but could not find a way to add its updated content. Not sure if it was me or for you by choice? Unfortunately something which is out of sight is out of mind for me.
All of the known readers here get read first when I read blog posts.

I will get those links up and corrected tomorrow with a few other changes. I think a new category for blogs which have some sort of important social agenda. Like your challenge.

I will note it in this comment field so you can come by and take a look.

The pale observer said...

Thanks Shellie :)

Pale Observer -
I will be adding you to a list category for important social agendas. :)
Take care.
