Real Horror ~ Be Prepared for a “Zombie Attack”!

Get A Kit, Make A Plan, Be Prepared. emergency.cdc.gov

In honor of Halloween we ask a very important question:  Are you prepared for a “Zombie Attack”?

Amanda at Imagination Run Amok  has this badge linked on her blog. I liked it and think it’s an incredible idea which makes good common sense. According to the CDC – the Center for Disease Control: if you are prepared for a “zombie attack” you are prepared for many real emergencies which may include biological hazard and more. Click on the badge above for instructions on how start your “zombie attack” kit or to see if you’re prepared.

I loved this advertising campaign by the CDC. What a great way to reach the younger generation.

Squeak -
Yes I agree -
I liked it a lot and thought I would share even if it has been posted everywhere.

And what about us older folks - count me in that group. (middle- age-sters) We still need to get our packs together. You wouldn't know it that I have read a lot of post apocalyptic books now would you?

I would agree with your "Yikes." I try not to think of any sort of apocalypses (apocalypsi?). I was already scarred enough as a child by fear of nuclear annihilation. I think the war on terror has become our new Cold War (I wonder, will our children grow up with the same fears we grew up with?).

But after all that, it still is pretty funny that a government agency has put this together.

Paul -
I think it is a brilliant form of educational advertisement.

Yep nuclear annihilation scared the heck out of me too. I went to nursing school in the plan of being left to help the survivors.

I think about the relative safety that we live our lives today compared with history (humans love wars and are mean and cruel to each other) and I thank the stars for what we do have.

Burkahs (spelling?) are not a fashion statement in my book.

Thanks for commenting Paul!
